Nepal: Manaslu TREK
We will start in Kathmandu, where we will acclimate to the new land. Here, we will explore Nepalese culture, visit numerous temples, and discover the main attractions that the city offers. After our initial impressions and experiences of Nepal, we will drive to the village of Arughat, where we will begin our trek. This trek is longer and more challenging than the Annapurna Circuit, as we will spend 14 days (the trek can be completed faster, but we have allowed some leeway) exploring the grandeur of the Himalayas and covering a 170 km route around the legendary Manaslu, which, at 8,163 meters, is the 8th highest peak on our diverse planet. During the trek, we will get to know the local culture, cuisine, ourselves, and the beauty that the Himalayas offer. Each day we will hike for about 6 to 7 hours, with the highest point being the Larkya Pass at just over 5,200 meters. The trek will be conducted alpine-style, meaning we will stay in lodges and tents, and besides an experienced Slovenian guide, we will be accompanied by a support team from Nepal, including a Nepalese guide, cook, porters, etc. We will provide the tents and all essential equipment, and this is included in the cost of the trip.
After two weeks of an intense experience, we will return to civilization by jeep – to Pokhara. Nepal’s second-largest city will pamper us with a diverse culinary scene, warm showers, and a beautiful lakeside location. In addition to resting, in Pokhara, you can enjoy activities such as cycling, boating on the lake, paragliding, and massages. Following Pokhara, the last part of the trip awaits us. We will return to Kathmandu for a final round of sightseeing and shopping in this shopping paradise. In the evening, we will, of course, have a farewell party with a wonderful dinner. For those who wish to extend their trip, we will take care of everything for you! If you’re already there and have the time, it’s worth considering..;-)
This program is recommended for adventurers, travel enthusiasts, and mountain lovers.
Highlights along th way
Kathmandu: An intriguing capital of Nepal where locals, travelers, tourists, mountaineers, and holy men blend together.
Durbar Square: The old part and center of Kathmandu, featuring the old royal palace and numerous Hindu temples.
Boudha (Bodnath): The largest stupa in Nepal and one of the largest in the world. Bodnath is the center for Tibetan Buddhists in Nepal.
Swayambhunath: A temple that dominates Kathmandu from its hilltop location, offering views of almost the entire city. It is a center for Nepalese Buddhists and is also known as the Monkey Temple. Why?
Pashupatinath: A religious center for Hindus and their holiest site. It is also home to the oldest Hindu temple in Nepal. The Bagmati River, which flows through the temple complex, is their holy river, akin to the Nepalese Ganges.
Trekking Around the Manaslu Range: Another trekking gem on Char’s menu… This wild trek around Manaslu is a journey for mountaineering connoisseurs!
Larkya Pass (5,200 m): The highest pass on our trek, connecting the eastern and western sides of the Manaslu Circuit.
Pokhara: Nepal’s second-largest city. With its lakeside location, it offers the perfect vibe for relaxation and enjoyment.
Paragliding from Sarankhota: On the free day in Pokhara, you can take advantage of the opportunity to go tandem paragliding from a nearby hill. An unforgettable experience.

Accomodation
Our hotels in Nepal are carefully selected. We choose hotels that are beautiful, authentic, friendly, and provide good service. We use double and triple rooms, each equipped with a private shower and toilet. During the trek, we will stay in lodges and tents (a million-star category). The accommodations vary in standards, but the key is that we are always in the heart of the action. The hotels are centrally located, and the main activities in each town are accessible on foot.

Why Travel With Us?
Because we know Nepal and have prepared a new, even more remote and adventurous journey into the heart of the Himalayas. This trek is a treat for those who love challenging and long treks. In Nepal, we will once again have a great team to help us deliver this top-notch experience. This program is concentrated on trekking, but you will also experience the pre-Himalayan world, the main city Kathmandu, and the idyllic Pokhara. The program is focused on a primal and authentic exploration of the land. The Manaslu trek is one of the newer classics and is less known than the Annapurna Circuit or the Everest Base Camp trek, but it is no less interesting and diverse. Its lesser commercial recognition makes it even more appealing, wild, and authentic. You can expect a journey full of variety, adrenaline, action, and cheerful people.
About the Country
Nepal is the most Himalayan country on our planet, located in the central part of the Himalayas. If any country deserves the title “land of the kingdom of mountains,” it is undoubtedly Nepal. Here, 8 of the 10 highest mountains in the world are located, including the highest peak, Mount Everest. Almost 80% of Nepal’s land area is covered by the Himalayas. In an area the size of 7 Slovenians (Nepal’s size), mountain, adrenaline, aesthetic, nature, animal, water sports, and cultural enthusiasts can find their place on Earth.
Until 2008, Nepal was a monarchy, but after a decade of political unrest, the king had to relinquish power after centuries of rule. Today, Nepal is the youngest republic in the world! The majority religion is Hinduism (85%), followed by Buddhism (11%). Nepalese have their own language – Nepali, which is the official language. Numerous different ethnic groups and tribes living in Nepal speak their own languages, which are completely different from Nepali. There are thought to be over 200 different ethnic groups and languages in Nepal, adding to the diversity of this small country in the heart of the Himalayas.
Visa and Vaccinations
Visas for Nepal are required and can be obtained at the Kathmandu airport. We recommend vaccination against Hepatitis A.
Group and Tour leader
The group size ranges from 10 to 18 travelers. If there are fewer than 12 travelers, the cost of organization increases proportionally. The group will be led by Tomo P or Peter J. The entire trip requires 21 days. Before the trip, we have a mandatory meeting with everyone to avoid issues and ensure everyone is well-informed.

Vsaj tu! Ce pa nimas dovolj dopusta, potem človek raje ostani doma, jaz pravim.
Takrat so mi pritekle solze – A TO JE TO?
2. ToMo in Maila!!!! J J Čudovita kombinacija s Kadžijem in ostalimi fanti skupaj J
5. a) Himalayo sem vedno sanjala, jo sanjam in jo bom
4. Kam bi v prihodnje najraje potoval/-a? vseeno kam – s to »druZbo« (trek…..)
