Description of Excursions in Slovenia
KRAS
Although the Karst region is characterized by three main elements: Teran wine, prosciutto, and the Bora wind, it offers much more. An extraordinary experience awaits you in a walk through the mysterious underground world of numerous Karst caves, as well as in its natural wonders and cultural heritage. Among the many sinkholes, abandoned ponds, and wind-bent trees, side field paths will lead you to villages with preserved stone houses and the local people, who have been shaping life in this part of the world since ancient times. Visiting the Karst is an experience in every season…
